Vintage Abalone Pendant Necklace Pierced Earring Set
Vintage
pendant necklace and earring set, and I am guessing that this is
abalone. On the large pendant, the color is reversible. One side is a
beautiful deep rust or orange tone, and the other side has more of the
traditional abalone look with light blue iridescent shades.
The necklace also has little donut style pieces and each has a faux pearl at the center. The earrings match the necklace and one side of the earrings are also a lighter orange color versus the blue abalone color.
It is difficult to tell for certain but I think that the necklace was originally a light brushed gold tone. If so, then it has rubbed with time and is now more silver tone in color.
The necklace measures approximately 13" long, and if including the pendant it is approximately 15 1/2" long. Pendant is 1 3/4" in diameter. Each of the earring stones are approximately 5/8" in diameter.
